1. Must have email address for communications.
2. Wear a red hat and purple outfit or top if you are 50 and over a pink hat and lavender
outfit if you are 49 and under. Reverse your colors (purple hat and red outfit) on your
     birthday month.
3. Bring your prayer requests- we are stretcherbearers for one another
4. Come- bring any ideas and have some fun.

Background:
The Red Hat Society started in 2000 and is the fastest growing womens group in the US adding about 300 chapters every week. It is just for fun. Women who have had careers and families had little time for themselves or girlfriend type adventures and now that this group has reach 50 they want some time to have FUN. Women 50 and over where Red and Purple while the under 50 wear Pink and Lavender. Lexington, Kentucky has 31 chapters and there are over 500 in the whole state. Each group has its own personality and uniqueness. Our group consists of over 30 Christian women from about 22 different churches. We do have a short devotional and a time to pray for one anothers need at each gathering and then we do our thing. We usually meet one Tuesday evening a month at a restaurant for dinner and some type of activity. We also usually plan one Saturday activity monthly as well for an outing. Average attendance is usually about 15 at each function.

Some of the things we have done:
Annual Fashion Show (raised over $10,000 for the Salvation Army), Annual Area Chapter Bowling night, and just easy dinners with programs such as:
1. Wedding night: had someone make a mini wedding cake and we showed everyone our wedding
photo and told a funny story about that special day. Dinner at Belle Note'
2. High school night: everyone brought a high school picture and told a story about something during
    high school. Dinner at Culver's.
3. Black and White night: Potluck at a home. Guessing game on old Black and White TV programs
4. Pigs in a Poke night: Everyone collect new stuff they didn't want and put it in a decorated bag and
we auctioned each bag off without knowing what was inside. Money went for national dues and
    expenses.
5. Girlfriends night: At Max and Erma's showed a film on Nicole Johnson's Girlfriends
6. Broadway Plays: We have seen Crowns, Les Mis, Oliver, and Riverdance
7. We have gone to several Tea Rooms
8. We have gone to Chrisman Mill Vineyards for the lunch buffet and tour
9. We have a Fall retreat overnight at Cave Run
We are always looking for some interesting things to do. We really enjoy going to other members homes for potlucks and a mini program. Always open to new ideas. Since most of our ladies work we have events on one Tuesday evening usually at 6:30pm that will last until about 9pm and one Saturday outing a month.
